Hey everyone

I am having a problem with my car!!

It revs from 400 rpm to 1700 rpm whenever the fan or air con is on. Not just once or twice when they turn on, but continuous!

Now, I have spoken to the Alfa dealers and they say it could be a huge variety of things and that it could take 1 hour or 5 hours to find the problem...let alone fix it!! Potentially a huge bill at the end. Trouble is, the car is in great condition apart form this issue and I have recently spend around £1500 on fixing this and that to get it working as it should..I can't keep throwing money at it and so need to find the solution, cheaply and painlessly!!

Any ideas would be greatly received.

Hello and welcome to AO.......mine used to hunt when warm......idle actuator unit was fitted at a cost of £120 inc labour and been fine for nearly 3 years.....hope that helps...:thumbs:
