I binned Chris Knott last year because they added £200 year on year and wouldn't negotiate. Swiftcover did it for the price I wanted, and they raised it 10% for this year, but added another £100 when I told them my missus had picked up 3 points for talking on a mobile whilst driving!

Can't find anyone cheaper. Unless I get rid of the missus. It's an option.

I get a price from admiral and then call flux and knott and see who beats that the most. Works everytime and always pay less than the previous year. Think that will come to an end now I'm 25 though...

Multicar with Admiral for the GTA and the Mondeo. £600...GTA fully comp, Mondeo third party......protected no claims on the GTA. The best deal I could find...but it would have been more if I took their recovery.....I've now gone with the AA on this factor.

This is my fifth year with Admiral.

Multicar with Admiral has a downside though. If you have two cars and then sell one, you get none of the premium back as you would on their single car policy. Direct line do a multicar discount where multiple policies attract a discount on all cars as the number of car insured increases.

My GTA costs £600 a year to insure fully comp with 4 years no claims, protected NCD, but 2 significant accidents. Admiral.
Wife's CMax is £390 fully comp with 4 years and one accident. Protected NCD Direct line.

Combined under a single policy by Admiral was £1200 and directline £1100.

Accidents expire by next insurance year so should go down plenty then!!

Sorted my insurance today. 25years old. 2005 147GTA doing 4k per year. 1.3 corolla doing 4k per year. 3ncd on the corolla and 7ncd on the GTA.

My adrian flux renewal was £928 which included £30 for two key care policies and £15 personal injury. That was for the GTA and my Corolla.

Admiral would do it for £847 but when you add on the extras not a huge amount more.

Direct line were £1000 for the GTA so I didn't bother.

Chris Knott can't insure the GTA for anyone under 30 unless it is a renewal because the underwriter highway have changed their criteria.

So I went back to flux and get it down to £880 for both :) less than last year so I don't care.

All mods declared so that's remap, exhaust including manifolds etc etc. Considering the other half pays that for her van and the same again for a diesel punto I'm happy lol
