:) Its all right at the end of the evening when all the decent booze has gone and the only choice of beverage is mulled wine or Malibu..........

:( Some folk think its "sophisticated" to try and foist the stuff on you before you have lost control of your senses though..........fools I tell you :p

 Anyone tried paraffin ?

I'd rather steal/drink cough syrup from the bathroom
if that was all that was left at a party.

in my opinion a waste of good alcohol.
That's kinda the point, your not supposed to use GOOD wine, £1.99 bottles of plonk are good enough for this.

exactly - the whole reason you "mull" it is to stop it tasting of p*ss:lol:

We always have a couple of mugs at the German Christmas market that's now a feature in Manchester during December. Out in the cold evening air, it's lovely and warming.

I wouldn't waste good wine making it at home though.

Hot Wine :vomit:
Sound as appealing as sucking the juice out of a tramps vest :(

I thought that until I tried it. It's not bad in the right context. It ends up more a hot, spicey drink than hot wine.

Mrs Jim just piped up with the correction that it "depends how it's made - we like the Gluhwein more" - which I sort of inferred by referring to the German market but I suppose they are much the same thing?
