Hi guys,

Very proud to be a member of the forum Just bought a 1.4 tb 155.

What are your toughts for a muffler delete? Will I loose any HP ? The car has no resonator in the middle like other cars.

So, I am planning to remove the muffler and just add a straight pipe instead. I don't want to give money for an exhaust. I searched the forum but no one mentioned anything about muffler delete.

Mines running a stainless system from the downpipe back with no backbox and I like it. I have had a resonator installed to stop any motorway drone however. Personally I don't think it's that loud, it's definitely louder than stock but not anti-social loud and quietens down once warmed up, my housemate thinks it's loud though (that being said he thinks his stock scirocco is loud) . Not noticed any difference in performance whatsoever, not sure why you would to be honest.

I have basically the same set up on my Abarth, catback stainless with the rear box removed, nice low burble and fine on my daily motorway commute and mine is remapped to 190bhp :thumbs:
