hi everyone, ive got an alfa 147 gta and over the past few months the temperature gauge on my car occasionally drops to zero and sends my fan into a high pitched overide whilst the dash board display reads ...... "motor control system failure", after 2-3 days it seems to clear itself and everything works normally

can anybody please advise me !!!

Had the same problem recently, fan was running constantly and temperature gauge showing zero. Problem persisted for a few weeks and has now cleared itself. I changed the engine temperature sensor although it didn't fix the problem initially.

Also check your battery as it can play havoc on those things. Even a build up of carbon on the points can cause issues.

I had to change mine at Xmas as I started getting all
sorts of warnings.

got it fixed chaps.......... it was the thermostat
