Having suddenly realised it was due I put the V6 in with no preliminary checks.

First time fail on a bald tyre edge but I had a spare from when I replaced both rears and kept the best of the ones that came off (£12 for fitting - result)

And it passed! Two advisories, nearside tyre shoulder worn and play in the wishbone balljoint - hence the worn tyres I guess.

Really quite chuffed!

Took mine out of farm barn storage this morning and is sitting with flat battery at mine all ready for summer.
MOT thursday.Tax then off to Alfa specialist for service and new belts even thought its only 6000 miles since the last change it will be 5 years so maybe I should.
1998 and on teledials it looks fab and drives sweet.

Definitely.

I had a GTV 2.0 and it would get through front wishbones (bushes) every 20k miles - the tyre wear was the first sign.

Funnily enough I had them replaced on the heavier 3.0 Spider 50k miles ago and there is still no sign of uneven wear of the tyres (2 sets) or wear in the bushes. I guess better quality ones were fitted last time around.

MOT Passed Friday too

My Phase 1 passed too on Friday only one advisory exhaust leak from front section. guess that's the next job
