Took her indoors machine for it's MoT this morning and it passed OK. :): I was rather concerned as we waited for our turn listening to a couple of earlier in the queue cars having the 'nuts' revved out of them prior to having the rest of the MoT tests. What's that all about? Pleased that her chariot never suffered the same treatment! Off load at an estimated 4K rpm minimum for 3mins or more, ? Answers on a postcard please.;) :D

I intially thought they were testing Coventry Climax Fire Department stationary pumps? Then I realised we are no longer in the fifties with road fund licences at a massive £12.10s. P.A. Still confused though? Testing old oil prior to film breakdown? White metal re-cycling operation?? :D

I believe lots of the "little old lady " ( NOT MRS. Z )cars get clogged cats from never exceeding 20 mph or 3 miles on a run, so a quick fix is to heat the thing up and get rid of the cr*p.

aye - take your car for a long run before presenting it to the MOT station, to help it clear its throat and breath nice and clean before it is rigged up to the emissions equipment :)

Guess using Ultra and regular oil and filter changes plus the odd Cataclean dosing may have been useful in our case then? Main thing is she passed without having her guts strained to bursting?

My Beemer was rated as "too clean to test" on the emmissions rating at the recent MOT.

The MOT guy said that many diesels under 3 years old now don't actually register on the emmissions machine!!!!

I thought Dervs were dirty!
