The GTA has been garaged since end of June as I finished rebuilding engine of my GTV, so have been running it.
Booked in for MOT today to give me a couple of weeks to sort anything before taxing for September.
It only went clean through without an advisory, result.
I did replace upper and lower front wishbones during the year but that has been it.

Tester also commented on it be a "nice car"

I think another layer of wax at the weekend as a treat.

Mine went through no probs with my usual mot centre. If I took to any old mot centre I'm not too sure, I tried one opposite work for convenience before I left I asked the only thing wrong is one of the washers for windscreen is working fully, they said it would be failed, I took it away and called my usual guys for the next day saturday when mot runs out, it passed with just rear tyres need replacing soon. I think it's better to build a relationship with an mot centre and stick with them.

Agree with what is said above, some garages can be a right bunch of idiots.

Well done Alex on your clean pass. Hoping for the same myself this year!

Great news on the MOT pass:)

I get mine done at work...both the GTA and the Mondeo. Our guy 'always' finds something to 'mention'.....yet it never appears as an advisory:rolleyes:
Some MOT testers just like to play 'God' for an hour:lol:

Mind you, I get one free, and the other at £35 as I work there, so I can't complain:D

Which garage did you use? Always handy to know of a good tester in the area - especially if they appreciate a GTA
Tower Garage, Laurencekirk.

Mirrin & mymito have used them for testing their alfa fleet including GTA
Dinomito also got radiator changed on his GTV 3.2

so he is seeing a few alfas

Heard them mentioned in the North Scotland lounge. Will give them a go come MOT time.

Cheers
