You might be, I stopped updating when the warranty period / subs ran out.. I didn't use it that often anyway, I liked the presentation of it but I maybe had it setup wrong as it didn't update in real time with traffic issues like google maps on the phone does.. Always used a Sandisk USB drive with no issues at all.

 

My car is only 1 year old and the sat nav is TomTom based with live traffic etc which does seem to keep up with what I find out and about, but I must admit if I drive any other cars or vans for work etc I tend to use Waze on Carplay!

 

Nope ..I was also into updating the Nav.. .. If a new image was available I always updated it and found it pretty good TBH.

The satnav in my wife's old Merc EQC was shockingly bad in comparison., as it was in her Audi a6.. both were crap at re-routing and avoiding traffic even though both updated regularly..

Been trying to update mine before my 3 years from new runs out, website been down for ages.
I did manage to get on once, randomly, but it said no maps available even though I know for a fact I'm not on anywhere near the latest.

Tried calling customer services, held for about 45mins then gave up.

Local dealer unable to help either. Been an Alfa customer since 2008, put up with the customer service pitfalls for many years, but it only seems to get worse. It shouldn't be this difficult. Really basic stuff.

 

The last map I loaded was in November last year MAP50436, interestingly the licence file is MY2020-lic.dct It still has the average speed cameras just outside of Leicester on the M69. I have a MY2023 car and would like to be able to upload a new map. I have noticed there's an option to update your navigation on the Alfa Connect website but when you click on it, it still goes to the broken Mopar site at the moment?

 

Same for me. The last map was November and although the updates should be quarterly the Mopar website has not been working for at least the last couple of months. This seems to be a recurring problem which I have seen several times over the last 5 years.

I was beginning to forget what normal meant. But yes, it works! Wonder what took them so long.

 

Yes, strange that the new version (24.0.0) has a release date of 2024-12-25 and yet they only put it on the website yesterday.

 

And updates are roughly every 3 months. The previous update went live in late Nov, this one dated Christmas day (!) want live in March. Not sure when to expect the next update!

I also use the sat nav in my Stelvio and I think it works very well besides it doesn´t have information about traffic jams and so on. I get the message on the Mopar Map Care site too that there are no updates available. That is unfortunate since I bought three more years of updates when the first years of free updates expired. I have reached out to the customer service in Sweden and I am now waiting for their response.

Mine too. I believe the traffic information comes via a data stream over DAB. Still doens't seem to be as up-to-date as Waze though.

Yes, the same. whilst an update was provided for the older satnav systems release date 13/05/2025 there is still nothing for the newer system!

 

I managed to get an update tonight and have installed it with no problems, I did email the dealer who supplied the car this week but not sure if that triggered anything??

 

 

Strange thing, the version number is 19.0.3 but the previous map downloaded in March was 24.0.0 - see attached screenshot!

 

When I put the usb flashdrive in my car it said that it was version 25.0.0 and the map info shows 25.0.2024.12.

 

Didn't notice that version thing on the website definitely 25 in the car, If you were going backwards shouldn't the car tell you its an older file that you are trying to install?

 

Very strange (or just sloppy?) version markings: 23.0.1, then 24.0.0. and now 19.0.3 ?!

Question for someone who has successfully installed the latest version - are the camera position alerts restored?

 

I updated the maps this morning, all went smooth! The "real version" that headunit is reporting is "25.0.2023.06 Europe", at least in my case (Eastern Europe).

Great news is that the camera locations are back!

 

I have also managed to download version 25.0.0 to the USB drive. Next step is to download to my car, that usually isn´t a problem. Lets hope the update web page will work now, I still have 2,5 years left on my subscription....
