Hi my daughter has a 2010 mito after misfiring intermittently for a few runs she took it to a garage who say they think a valve as gone, her warranty doesn't cover the work to remove the cylinder head to ivestigate if the issue is likely to be the valve (not covered by warranty)
We are wondering if the repairs are worth it, if fitting a new engine would be cost effective or if it's best to just say goodbye, fix and sell or fix and keep. The car didn't overheat but there was oil on the spark plugs, we changed plugs and leads but the issue continued, they say they can't confirm valve damage without removing cylinder head. Best course of action advice please and thanks.
