While AO was down i was doing a bit of searching on the net and found a few links to sites stating that the MiTo will be getting the new Fiat Multiair engines from September onwards, has anyone heard similar as I may put off ordering a MiTo if they are gonna get new improved engines in the next few months.

Also would that mean you would have to wait to order it from September onwards to get the new engine or would all MiTo's ordered before then but delivered from Sept onwards get the new engines?

Would take quoted timescales with a pinch of salt. Even if they do arrive on the continent how long before they start being available in RHD is anyones guess. Fiat will of course want to use up all the old engines so assume its only orders after September and only then if they hit deadlines. With the Mito being relatively new theres probably not a huge surplus of stock to wade through but multair engines really a big enough difference to wait 6-12 months for?

Aye! But the Mito donkey also fits in the Fiat Punto, so they'll find a home for any "unused" engines (never mind the one or two that have to go for sale as "parts").
