A few days ago I realized that the front end of the car is shaking during acceleration. Nothing wrong when slowing down, cruising and mild acceleration but once I start to accelerate a bit harder, the shaking starts.

I suspect CV Joints are gone, but I can't be sure till I take it to the dealer. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Could be as simple as wheel balancing...

this could be the wheels tramping as the tyres wear down,or torque steer effect, as the q2 diff thingy isnt that clever as it is linked to the brakes.
I get this on my diesel when accelerating hard , more pronounced in the wet too.

If it was CV joints it would happen all the time, try moving slowly going from full lock to full lock and you'll hear the CV joints grumbling.

I hope so, but I think if it was wheel balancing, it would shake all the time, not only when accelerating?
Not so sure, one of my wheels (not a MiTo) needs balancing & I was testing it out on the motorway earlier - deffo more wobble under acceleration, hardly any when slowing...

Hmm

I noticed my QV is a little twitchy at the front under hard acceleration. Tyre pressure is fine, as is wear. I did think it might be the 18" low profiles / torque steer. Will ask the dealer to have a look next time its in though. Its fine under normal conditions/braking etc.
