Caught in the jam for 30mins and smell burning smell on my engine. Brought to Alfa specialist this morning and informed it is perfectly okay. How do I know when to change clutch ?

I be monitoring my car for next one week to see if there is burning smell again.

Were you in neutral the whole time or in gear with the clutch down?

Change it when it starts slipping or when the biting point is right at the top.

I am driving auto gear .. Initially, I keep it at D during the jam but after 15min, I decided to keep it at Neutral during jam ( car in stationary position). Will change the gear to D when it start to move.

I also noticed the car will jerk when I shift from N to D. Is this common?

So you've got an auto box then? Sorry, I know nothing about those other than you shouldn't really leave it in D for long periods if you are not moving. I have no idea how the MiTo ones work I'm afraid.
