Hi all,

So I've been having some issues with the boot courtesy light on my Mito.

About a week after I got it the light wouldn't come on when the boot was fully open, but would whilst the boot was being lifted or was partially open.

And now it doesn't work at all.

So my question is, what's wrong with it? Is it just the bulb?

And: How do I access the courtesy light to replace it? Do I remove the see-through plastic cover?

To remove the boot courtesy light, get a flat head screw driver and insert it on the side with the indent, it pushs back a plastic clip which then allows the len cover to come out

Ok so I removed the cover, checked the bulb and its pristine, the filament is still intact. I'm about to check the fuses now, anyone have any other suggestions?

I would suggest the switch is at fault. This would be a spring like switch that is compressed when the boot is shut. I'm not sure the precise location but it's worth looking

If your interior light is working it isn't the fuse.
Boot and interior have the same fuse.

Yeah, all the other interiors lights are ok so not the fuse.

The switch was my original thought, but idk where it is, could be faulty wiring. The black rubber boot compressor works, (it still opens the boot fine from the key, and I've pushed and pulled it, it doesn't seem trapped at all

I won't fully rule out the bulb just yet either, might buy a replacement just to be sure

So I tried a new bulb in there, still no joy :L

Any suggestions? I'm starting to think wiring.

Isn't the boot loom a know problem area in the MiTo (the flexible bit near the hinge)?
