Hi All,

I noticed somebody had had an issue with this a week or so ago but in the past week I've had two occasions where the car just simply won't start in the cold for a good 4-5 attempts.

The most worrying thing is the noise the engine is making when this happens. It almost sounds (and feels) like the engine is going to rattle its way out of the engine bay. It makes a noise which sounds similar to as if the bonnet hasn't been shut properly and bounces & rattles away on it's catch.

This happens for about four attempts and then on about the 5th the car starts as if there was never a problem.

Has anybody experienced this also, and a silly question but does this sound abnormal?

Many Thanks,

John B

Mine did the same on Monday after being tried ten or so times, but it started first time the next day.
I don't think this is related to the belt issue as the engine does start when the belt goes.
