Hi all,

I've done a quick search but not found this paticular problem. I am aware that AR do not issue the key codes on a card anymore, however should I not have a radio code card?

Western Alfa have told me neither cards are issued anymore, however somewhere down the line if the battery needs to be disconnected how do I get my radio back up and running?!

Any advice much appreciated, preferably a few folk can confirm I should have radio codes and I will take it up with the dealer again. Cheers :)

When i picked my car up the radio code was with all the Books and the Cloverleaf Club things, she said that you can get the code from the dealer if you loose it which is why she recommended not changing it to me.

Hope it helps

Normally you don't need the code if you disconnect the battery.

Only if they change something on the car like the body computer.
Or you put the radio in another car.

But it sounds like just another scam to get a few more quid off the customers
if it is needed. (Like the key code cards)....

So Har42 did you get a radio code card with your car?

Has anyone else not got their radio key? My car was a "nearly new" purchase so it could just be lost and the dealer is giving me a yarn!

Cheers Harry, that wont be neccessary, I had the same with our GT which was bought new, came in the ISR bag if i recall correctly.

I'll try the dealer again, I can just about understand why key codes floating around may be a slight security risk, even if it may actually be a thinly vailed money making excercise for replacement keys! When it comes to the radio code though I dont buy it, especially given a number of times in the past the need to re-input the code has come up (even just in particularly cold weather with my 147!!)
