hi have been having a complete nightmare with this car have just serviced the car and put a set of new plugs in and when you start her she sounds great but as soon as i go to rev the car see just misses and pops so i changed the plugs again in case some where duds with no luck still the same i dont think its the coil packs as they seem in very good condition and on the diagnostics its the back cylinders that have the problem even when the coils where swapped it came up as the back cylinders under the manerfold which are showing the fault so please please any help would be great thanks gary.

I agree, I had exactly the same problem with mine. My rear bank of cylinders was misfiring. The cam timing was out. Cue new cambelt and and timing adjustment. Took my Alfa specialist 4 hours to get the timing of all 4 camshafts back in synchronisation. Well worth it as engine is sweet and pulls like a train now.

thanks for that guys i should of changed the cambelt and water pump anyway so that has taught me a lesson just one more little thing the diagnostic read the fault as spark failure on cylinder 2 and the same for three does this concure with your thoughts cheers gary.

Yes it was popping and missing but got better as it warmed up also had cam cover off and the cambelt was a bit loose so tightened this made no difference to the running of the engine also noticed a split in the inlet manafold and one of the coil packs was also taped on the rear bank sorry missed that out on original thread so im thinking something different is going on possibly and not sure of what to do about timing on the car how to go about it ,if you guys have any more input that would be very helpful cheers gary.

Hi, Where abouts are you, if it's near Swindon then give me a PM and we can sort this out this week.
