Just out of interest, how many Miles range do you get out of a full tank... to full tank>to fuel light?

Just out of curiosity.

Asking about CLoverleaf, but please state other versions. :)

It's all going to depend on how you drive it. Best I've had is the trip saying 415 on fill up but I chickened out at 325 and filled up again as I don't like to run her low.

If you are interested in buying the QV then you should not be worried about the mpg. I just fill it up with vpower and stick it in D mode and fill it up again when the red light comes on!!

With the price of fuel today it is most likely something at the back of a potential buyers mind.
We all know manufactures figures are done under specific conditions so can be taken with a pinch of salt.
If yours was doing 12mpg would you still not think about the cost of fuel?

Some people like to know if as well as being able to make the payments on a new car, that they can afford to put fuel in it too.

Fair comment,

But my opinion stands. You don't buy a QV to drive it economically. Go for the smaller engines or oil burners for that!

It depends really, I went from a 3.2 V6 but wanted the power but better economy and I believe I've got it in the QV. so economy was the main reason I chose the QV :)

I didn't buy mine for economy either, but i needed to know it would return over 25mpg as a daily drive before i could justify it.
I don't mind the odd weekend hard thrash where i return 18-20mpg (as can be seen on my fuelly record), but if that was my everyday consumption i'd be broke in no time.
It is nice to know that if i wanted to do a long economical road trip that i could get 30+mpg.

At best I have had around 445 miles on a full tank of Tesco Ultimate 99....but that was driving very sensibly, no fast accelerations, sticking to speed limits, air con off etc.

Worst I have had is around 180 miles on a full tank of standard 95.....and that was hammering the car the whole tank.

Average on my trip computer for the last 6,500 miles is 25.8mpg.

Tip: if you use cruise control then use Dynamic as it is more economical in D mode, certainly for CC. I also think it is more economical in D mode normally if you can resist the throttle....if, I can't.

Also......after 7,000 miles I haven't needed to top up the oil once yet (check weekly). Not an oil burner Alfa of past.

I realised in D mode it is more feul effecient than in N mode on highway cruises...When i cruise at 120kph in N mode my l/100km are at 7.5-8l/100km. When in D mode my l/100km are at 5.5-6.5l/100km...is this possible?

I filled on Friday right after picking the car up and my range was at 630km...which is not bad.

Dan, There are a few of us QV owners that keep our fuelly records up to date.
Take a look on Fuelly | Share and Compare Your MPG as it will give you real figures.

Mine is always kept up to date but mine is one of the thirstiest G QV's on there due to my mainly town driving and the lead sole on my right shoes .

My 10 mile trip to work in N mode for a couple of weeks gives around 32mpg and busy A roads give similar. On the open road I generally find I get around 28 using D with some reasonable bursts of speed & acceleration. Motorways give around 29 mpg.
Not had mine too long but averaged just over 30 so far.
Where I live there is very little heavy stop start traffic by the way.

Must admit that unlike the MiTo I had which required D mode all the time the Giulietta seems reasonable in N mode until I get to the open roads when I can let it loose.

just got 31.1mpg on an A road, to my local shopping centre about 20mins away. That was N mode, but with cruise control the mpg was much improved! Ill open the car up a bit first, then start using D much more!!
