Steve, how often will you actually fill your new vehicle with family/dog/stuff?

If it's only once a year for an annual holiday have you considered hiring a suitable vehicle for when you need it?

yep

i do need an estate or big hatch - taking the mutt out regular is important and currently we're restricted to around Darlo

i'd like a 156 sw but haven't found the right one yet

so considering a practical motor and perhaps a gtv on the side

Fair enough, hopefully you'll find one you like.

Did you look at the Fiat Croma? Depreciation has hit them hard so they seem to be a second hand bargain!
yep - actually clocked one in a car park

not bad

but rare as rocking horse poop - hard to find (35 nationally on autotrader)

Howeh then, how much have you got to spend and how far are you willing to travel?

What's the best hire car you've driven recently? Do they make it in an estate?

How about one of these?
