Am considering a set of non-memory leather seats to replace my current velour seats - of which the drivers seat has the memory function.

So, a question: are memory seats and non-memory seats the same - aside from the switch panel and whatever seat ECUs may exist in the car?

In other words - would retaining the drivers seat switch panel and transplanting it onto a non-memory electric seat convert it into a memory seat???

Cheers,

Jeremy

BTW - I'm still looking for a leather interior in GREY if anyone has one...

The memory seat system is controlled by a separate black box mounted under the seat, I can't remember if the motor connections are different but is a can be swapped over with the side trim with switches..
