It's been a while since I entered a Saab.

What did I do?

I did the wheels with Autosmart acid based wheel cleaner because they were minging. They really need taking off the car and doing properly.

I gave it a going over with my car plan demon foam thing (except mine is loaded with poundland wash & wax at £1 a litre which works just the same).
Washed with a microfibre mitt (my lambswool one went bald).
Dried (using the towels the previous owner left in the boot)
Polished with SRP.
A coat of Autosmart Topaz over the top for a bit of durability.
The tyres were done with cheapo tyre shine which lasts just long enough to take a picture.

When the weather dries it'll get clayed then done again. I'm told Poorboys Black Hole is the **** for black cars.

So here goes with mine..

As I only acquired last week and it hadn’t really been used much over the last couple years it was pretty grim inside and out.

Gave the wheel arches, wheels and tryres a good scrub with regular wash n wax and then rinsed.
Pre soaked body work
Washed down my my new lambs wool mitt
Rinsed, dried with microfibre cloth (Costco!)
All over polish with autoglym super resin polish
Waxed with G3 pro something or other
Replaced all badges with new
Light washed carpets (rubbed over with damp microfibre)
Scrubbed leather (alao dash and door cards too which came up amazing) with auto glym leather cleaner, left soak for 2 mins then 3 rinses with microfibre cloth and fresh warm water
Allowed to dry
Applied Simoniz leather cream
Oh and fitted a chrome finisher for tailpipe

Now I just need to sort out those annoying car park scrapes (although small) on front and rear bumpers

After 3 weeks of ownership finally got the wax coats and protection up to standard.
Polar Blast, pure shampoo, clay bar, another shampoo, dried with autoglym microfiber cloth, 2x coats of ultimate Polish for darker colours, extra gloss protection.

Here goes with mine, first proper clean since I picked her up in Feb (I've been very busy)....

Washed with Fairy liquid to remove all old wax, coloured wax and traffic film- the seller had glopped the red polish over everything...
Further wash with Meguairs Gold Class shampoo, just because....
Paint clayed with clay mitt, badly resprayed, faded bonnet fully polished up with Farecla G3 and a wet mop, light going over the rest of the car.
Another wash with Meguairs to remove any polish residue, sticky clay residue
Poorboys Black Hole show glaze applied to remove any light swirling, followed by 2 coats of Poorboys Natty's Paste Wax
Meguairs Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer applied to scuttle panel, wing mirror bezels and mounts, antenna and the lower unpainted part of the rear bumper.
Meguairs High Gloss Tyre Protection gel to all tyres, and faded rubber parts.
Exhaust tips polished up with Autosol metal polish
New plates (less chavvy) reading 'LA MECCANICA DELLE EMOZIONI' in a nice retro italian-looking script
New front and rear Alfa badges, and all faded Ti badges replaced.
Recent wheel refurb in Matte Aston Martin Grey

I didn't clean the inside, as it was like a bl**dy sauna.

Still to do:

Refurbish Brake calipers - summer task
Chipex kit - as above
Reinstate the black part to the grille as some berk painted it red...

Challenge Accepted.

Turtle wax Shampoo in a bucket of nice hot water.
Tender loving sponge action until squeaky clean.
Chamois and dry.
Muc-Off Spray on wax. (stuff is amazing!)
Vinyl and rubbers cleaned with Auto-glmy
Polished chromed parts with micro-fiber cloth.

Now i have to fend off the pigeons wanting to C##P over it. :headache:
