Isn't it just about using the brand?

I'm struggling with this and making comparisons with the Porsche Cayenne.

Is it a Porsche? Or it's just something that carries the Porsche brand and cross subsidises other Porsches?

Maserati, Porsche and Mini are just brands, just words that can be stuck onto anything as long as it makes money?

Is it a Maserati? Or some other car using the Maserati brand? It's just a car that could be wearing any other badge?

Oh dear. Could have been good; I doubt this car is going to do for Maserati what the Cayenne did for Porsche.

2/10 Must try harder. (only awarded that much on account of the fact that it at least looks radically different to the Grand Cherokee on which it's based).

Who is responsible for the design/styling of this thing, anyway? If,as I suspect, it was styled "in house" then we have yet more proof that Fiat should stop dicking around with DIY design and get some people in who know what they're doing.

Hideous.

"Designer" should be forced to buy one of his own money and live in it until he dies.
No driving it either.
Just suffer.

I don't much like it. I suppose if it makes money for Maserati then why not.
I don't really like the Ferrari FF either. :(

Why ? :vomit:
Because they'll sell loads of them and make huge profits as the Gulf, Chinese, Russian, Indian, and Brazilian markets lap them up.

Porsche Cayenne now shifts more units than all the Boxsters, Caymans and 911s combined. All the premium manufacturers want a slice of the premium SUV pie.

Looks the same as the Infiniti FX. Just seems a bit pointless to me - huge cars but not that big inside or useful. Not at all relevent for the UK (IMO!).
