Iso Propyl Alcohol (IPA), Propanol, Propan-2-ol, Isopropanol. All the same thing and the main ingredient of de-icer. I mix it 50/50 with water, but sometimes use it undiluted if it's really icy !!!!

Also IPA is a good degreaser for surfaces before spraying, removing sticky labels, cleaning electrical contacts, and it smells nice too :) but not as nice as WD40 :D
