Hey chaps, any pointers as to why my main beams on both headlight don't operate?, The High beams work as do the side lights and I have been through every connection except within the dash area, fuses all okay, grounds all clean and not quite sure which relay it is but suspect it may be the large red oblong unit which has 2 relay circuits inside. Its been so long since I had an electrical issue I don't remember whats where. They were okay 2 weeks ago!.
Any help muchly appreciated.

Long time ago when I had a 33 I can remember I had an issue with the main beam.
It could suddenly disappear and the error was a bad soldering in the pulse relay that switch between main beam and high beam.

It took me a while to find the error as it was periodic.
But after a resoldering of the solder joint the error was gone

Spent the morning trying to fault find the problem, looks like I have a faulty Spiea relay which sits in relay position A on the fuse board,I can force the contact on the relay to switch on the lights okay and have checked the wiring from the switch on the lighting stalk, also tried passing current through the relay via a car battery and cannot get it to switch so hopefully problem solved.
