not that mechnically minded, but would have to say a big no...a knackered maf is going to give you lumpy running, poor idle and reduced top end revs...

Having just sold a Stilo with faulty MAF sensor,never gonna cause manifold probs,idle all over the place,may cut out on hills,and lumpy as ****, but wont cause any serious probs like ye got

It sounds to me like pressure from the engine has found its way back through the intake. Have you had the cambelt changed recently and the belt put back on in the wrong place? I know this may be unlikely but it's worth asking, stranger things have happened.

Hi sounds like you have had your injector,(s) leaking into your induction side normally this will cause the intake manifold to explode, i think i have some info on this fault but i know that when the new manifold is fitted you will have to replace the injectors as well, at work tommorow ill have a look to see if i can find the old service news on this subject!
