Am I being completely paranoid or does the V6 run lumpy at 900 to 1000 revs.
Idle is fine. 1100 is fine.
1000 feels juddery and lumpy when car static.
Car runs fine and drives fantastic. Just judders at 1000rpm wether warm or cold.

Where did I leave my twinspark?

Its a white 147 GTA.
Pictures are still to come.
I have never run a v6 before, so am suspicious of every noise, movement and feeling!
Don't you just love getting to know a new car:lol:

New noises in a new car are worrying but so are noises in a car you have owned for a while. Especially as Alfas get alot lets call it "charactor" I was alway turning my radio onto mute because I thought I head something new but all is good:D

If you still think you have a problem we can compare at Red Dot:D

Mine used to be a bit lumpy from idle to about 1000rpm - found that the timing was slightly out after a dealer cambelt change.
Ned's men sorted it, now it's silky smooth from idle to redline:D

Belt has been changed by previous owner not long ago!!!!!!!!

Getting worried now.
Car is booked in for a service in 3 weeks due to MOT in four!
Will get it checked out. Car still drives like a GTA should though:wow:

Could it be a failing top-mount causing vibrations in the car, or is it definitely just lumpy running?

Feels just like an amplifification of the engine. Only at 1000 rpm though and at no other rev range.

Check the top engine mount...

The timing may be off very slightly like my old GTA and Swanny's....

What they say. Top mount changed on mine recently after noticing lumpyness at idle, also following the cambelt change earlier this year. Improved it, but I still think it's lumpier than it was.

Is that a real word ... "lumpier"

Cleaned the throttlebody by squirting some carb cleaner down there. Made a slight difference but it may all be in my mind?

Fixed!
Bottom engine mount had been undone put back together to get the gearbox out!
Runs smooth through the rev range now!

No kick of the gearstick when coming off the power in 6th either(although that may have been the gearbox being lightly mullered)

Mine's a tiny bit lumpy juist off idle too. Cam belt changed by Ned in October and timing corrected. I don't worry about it at all.

Mine as the timing was slightly out when it had a belt change at Mangos. Lloyd at clovertech fixed it when he changed the water pump. :)....
