Hi All,

I have noticed that when I have the window open and on hard acceleration just after I have changed into second gear, there is a loud clicking sound like a spring releasing. It sounds like it could be from the brakes as I hear a similar noise when reversing after the hill assist releases.
Anyone else have this?
I am wondering if it is a problem or just some normal part of the car.

cheers,
Anthony

If that happens in D mode, then that's the pre-loader for the brakes pumping up.

When in D mode, the brakes will pre-load once you suddenly release the gas pedal, so you can have maximum sensitiveness on the braking while entering a curve. :)
PS - That's kinda awesome.

Hello to you all btw! Greetings from Portugal. Mine's a Giulietta 1.6 diesel Anthracite grey with the 17inch turbine alloys. Loving every bit of her! :)

It hasn't anything to do with D-mode. I am beginning to think it is the dual mass flywheel. Strangely enough it has stopped lately.
