Hi Guys & Girls

I'm looking to buy a 156 2.4 JTD Veloce, preferably a Multijet facelift, during the summer.

I'm currently at research and scoping out prices stages.

What are they like to run? Anything stupid like an engine out cambelt change or something?

What are the main know problems when looking at one?

TIA

Martin

Watch for knocking front suspension. This indicates wishbones might need replacing, but it can also mean other things. I don't think the suspension was updated between the pre-facelift and facelift model, so if I'm right I'd suggest getting a Veloce model, the engine is mounted very far forward and the Veloce's stiffer springs help support it coming down off speedbumps. Mines a Veloce, and its still bottomed out a few times :(

Hope this helps,

Dan

My old 156 20v was a good motor. Had it remapper to circa 220-230bhp. ;)
Watch for worn tyres on the inner edges at the front, badly scraped undertray and the fixings that hold it in place, abused brake pads/disks (I turned mine a nice shade of blue! ) and for blown turbos.

You found any nice ones? I think my old 04 reg is going around the dealers at the mo.
