Hi there

I only have one key for my alfa 156.

Its an x reg and I am desperately trying to find an uncut key. Well ideally two uncut keys actually.

If anyone can sell me some of these or point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.

Thanks,

If its the red key type and you only want it to open the doors then a local key cutter should be able to do them for you.

If its also to start your car you will need to get them coded too.
Try to pm "Chris" he might have some, check with him that they have an unused code chip in them

* I'm assuming you want a remote locking key *

I have uncut key blades separately, or fitted to new case or, fitted to used (pre-owned cases), or even fitted to your existing case if you have broken the key blade off.
These are genuine Alfa blades, not copies.

If however you want a complete key to use as a spare it won't work, the immobiliser chip can't be cloned and you are wasting your money buying a used key and trying to make it work. You need to go to the Alfa dealer I'm afraid.
Actually that isn''t quite right as you can have a new immobiliser chip made up for you by specialists such as Minirib on this forum, but you have to remove your immobiliser ecu and send it off to him.
Personally I would stump up the cash for a new key and have done with it,

from a good locksmith you can buy a NEW blank key suitable for a FIAT, get the pattern cut into the blade & swap your transponder into it

I had a message from minirib a while ago but can't get ahold of him

I would really rather avoid having to pay 200 pounds per key at a dealer.

Am after the proper red key with a 2 on it.

Might seem a lot, but if compared to the hassle / expense of losing your one key, I know what I'd do...

Yes I'm after full functionality, and uncut

Able to start the car, unlock doors, and the remote unlock feature work.

If I have to pay 200 pounds for each key I will, but that is definitely a last resort thing.

I'm just looking to see if anyone knows of where I buy one (other than an alfa garage) or ideally two and have it working fully.

Right guys, I still haven't had any luck on a key.

I live in Pembrokeshire and for the right price I'm willing to travel if anyone knows of a good price at any Alfa Garage.

Otherwise anyone at all who can hook me up with a new alfa red key?!??

Thanks,

It is a dealer job. May I suggest you don't bother? I had a V plate 156 for 4 years and only had one key. I had a non-remote key made up in case I locked the keys in the car but only used it to lock the keys in a running car to warm up in winter. Also, many insurance companies offer key cover on policies. If you make sure you have it, if you lose the key they can sort you with a new one.
