Have been looking for a while to buy a Spider and have now seen a couple (as they are quite rare in Ireland). Went to see one yesterday and noticed the two buttons behind the drivers seat. Didn't have long enough to look properly but what do they do, as the one on the left was missing?

It's a Lusso and the hood is definitely electric? Didn't play with it but the hood is quite new, going to have another look tomorrow.

They are buttons to close the roof in an emergency if the main one on the console fails.

I second that Symon - they are the get-out-of-jail buttons if the electrics fail at the same time as the heavens open!!

Manual release / close buttons if auto fails as said above.

One button motors locking spigots that hold rear of hood down, and the other releases the cover the hood sits under when folded. Both buttons should be there, be it manual or auto.

The "blank" on the auto versions is just a cover that pops off with the buttons underneath. I just removed it and left them on display.
