We are on the look-out for a good, reasonably priced garage to service Mrs.GC's Micra.
We recently tried a local garage ("Smile" in Portsmouth - an ironic name if ever I heard one
). They charged us £475 for a P3 service - admittedly one of the larger services, but that's Alfa main dealer prices!!
We also asked them to look at the air-con, which we thought needed re-gassing. They said there was a leak (as there was no gas left), but it took three separate visits for them to conclude the leak was on the radiator which needed to be replaced at a cost of £500 :wow:.
I had the radiator replaced on the 156 a few weeks ago, and it cost me £440 at the Alfa main dealer. I rang the Nissan main dealer we used to use, and they quoted me just over £300 to replace the radiator. :tut:
Needless to say, the Micra won't be seeing the inside of that garage any time soon. :rant:
So, does anyone know of any reputable garages in the Portsmouth/Fareham area? :thumbs:
