There are several guys trying to move theirs on at the moment. You might be able to pick up one for a reasonable price

The GTA is a fantastic car, but compared with a BMW E46 M3 (assuming both are completely stock) I do not think are on the same level. The GTA has 90hp less and has a big problem which is the front-wheel drive. This not only can not afford to add much power ( 500hp + ) but will not allow you to have real fun ( like Drift ).

For this reason, I would like to know what prompted you to want to return with the GTA? :D :D :D

The m3 looks well smart and shiny. If I hadn't just spent so much on my GTA i'd be interested in a change for a bit.. I'm sure you'll find someone interested.

Difficult one that man, this is my second E46 and I really do like them, the M3 is fantastic car just look at the reviews it gets. I have also had two GTA's and the 156 that I had I completely loved. Held it for longer than any other car I have ever had until I trashed on black ice a few years ago.

I am in the process of buying an RS4 Avant and want to change the M3 to a GTA as it's a bit more practical (4 doors). I also have a real thing for Italian cars !! Which to be honest is the main reason.

Many thanks. In discussions at present :)

Slightly scared that it won't be as good as I remember it was :(
i've had all sorts of what i'd say semi exotic.... 993 3.8 rs engined carrera, hsv supercharger, gtm libra v6, integrale etc - gta is as entertaining as any of them.

looking to change to something younger (due to work mileage) in the next 6 months and will struggle to get anything modern to fit the bill. Added problem is image - cant get anything which makes clients think i'm 'better than them' with what i drive :(

vxr8 or vxr insignia seems like a bargain 'inoffensive' solution at the moment (1 yr old vxr insignias are going for sub £20k!) - i get fuel for 'nothing' which helps(well the tax man gets his share in benefit in kind)

Mazda 6 MPS with some tweaks?
a guy a couple of doors down from me has one in grey - not convinced by styling but bargain prices and a complete street sleeper!

had a look at the insignia - comes standard with 355mm two piece semi floating brembos! (tick) has to stop 1800kg of car so needs to be meaty but was well surprised to see them!

remap and 340bhp / 400lb/ft sounds good (Tick)
plus a big boot (Tick)
and nice recaro seats (Tick)
40:60 rear bias 4x4 with the vxr button pressed (Tick)
100,000 mile lifetime warranty (Tick)
V6 with standard fruity sounding exhaust (Tick)

shame about the 'fleet' image (Cross)
rubbish dealers (Cross)
driven mainly by idiots (Cross)
vauxhall badges (Cross) needs to be opelized!
expensive 19 or 20 inch alloys and tyres (Cross)

plenty of ticks but the crosses are quite big ones ;)

Test drove a 07 rs4 today, was impressed with it I have to say. Worth looking at as prices have tumbled lately. Not much quicker than the M which was quite surprising mind you it's having to turn all 4 wheels and it's probably a good bit heavier. VXR8 is just a bit to tacky ! How about a Monaro VXR 500 ? Good to know that you still find the GTA exciting. Just need to get one now.

rs4 is a good motor - my bro in law used to have one. really good residuals and very composed. very expensive when things went wrong with it though eg steering rack.... £4k! ouch.

he sold it (rack was replaced under warranty) and ended up going 'backwards' to a RS2 - great car and imo more fun - unfortunately he's been recently paralysed so cars been mothballed. I'm going to try to get it sorted for me to get him out in it shortly with me driving it - not quite the same for him but should still put a smile on his face (providing i dont break it!)

when you get the rs4 post some pictures up
