Anyone know an sensible way of locking the cams on a Q4 head? - I've been told to hammer a block of wood in between the cam wheels - I need to replace the camshaft oil seals & they've tightened them up FT.

cheers,
A

use the old timing belt and wrap it around both wheels and then wrap it round something to hold it in place. :D

F2G Have you took the rocker cover off and had a look at the Camshafts 99%of camshafts have either a six sided section or a flat between the lobes that you can get a spanner on to hold it

Think they are used for assembling and turning the cams into the right position for setting up

I've been told an air impact gun should do the trick..
