Hello, I'm a little puzzled. I've had my 156 for a couple of months now and ever since I bought it, when I lock it remotely it beeps once and locks then about 3 seconds later it beeps again.

I thought it was normal, but upon swotting up on my owners manual (what a life I lead :p ) I noticed that it states that if there is a second beep, it means something is wrong.

The doors all lock and the alarm led shows on the dash so i can't work out what might be wrong.

Any ideas??

Cheers

Claire

Open every door, the boot and bonnet, and give them all a right good slam.
:D
It's often one of the sensors sticking and thinking you've left something open.

If something falls off the car during this slamming process, you know I'll be back :D

Isn't there some sort of 'door open' warning light on the dash which would indicate this?

There is, but it doesn't. It's not so much the door being open, as much as the alarm thinks it is....
 ;)

Yes, this means that the alarm has sensed
and error during the arming system tests.

Could be bonnet or door switch or the volumetric
sensors.

In my experience, its either boot or bonnet switch, prob bonnet due to all the cr4p collecting in that general area.

These are the most commonly failing switches.
