Afraid you'll need to take the doorskin off and have a poke around inside. Does the key move in the lock but no unlocking, or is it all solid?

I have something simliar on the Twinny when it rains, the passenger door handle doesn't open the door. The rain gets into the mechanism and stops the greae/oil working properly, if I add more lubrication it works fine.

Sounds like something is not lining up properly or not moving freely due to the rain.

Huh? Sounds a bit extreme to me. Think I'd take the interior trim off instead - quicker and it saves a pesky re-spray.... :D
