Well what i have experienced and read 'dealership do not have best personnel's to carry out detailing work, they just apply products' whereas a private detailer would be more careful' as all these ceramic/nano products need curing time and more importantly prep work. I had two choices nearby one is Unique Detailing Luton other one is Dooka Detaliling in Northampton.

How much dealership is charging you for Ceramic coating ?
I haven't arranged anything yet, still contemplating what and where. Had come across Unique Detailing when previously looking at detailing. Only concern is the amount of time they need the car and they're not exactly on the doorstep. A ceramic coat is looking like what I'll go for.

Is the QF available yet in the UK, or are they presently taking orders? Seen the demo version at the Alfa dealership...
Yep, already being delivered with at least 3 on the road that we know of. Still happily taking orders but no idea when delivery would be now. Those of us that ordered Oct/Nov/Dec are starting to get them next month and March

I know I keep wanging on about the tyres but it doesn't surprise me people are crashing. They just don't work in the cold and are dangerous. They should come with all weathers as standard, I suspect the Corsas are what helped the 'ring time and they want to claim the car was on standard rubber. I'm a careful driver and have driven lots of fast cars, but this one scares me and not always in a good way. Not sure I can limp through to spring so may have to change to Pilot Sports sooner rather than later.
I've been saying this from the off, switching everything off in Race is a recipe for disaster. Folks don't have the brains their born with. This probably explains why Motorvogue won't put theirs on the road. P's me off to be honest, it's sat there and I can't test drive it

20 Omi Vesuvio Grey, Black interior with red stitching / red panels, red calipers, tinted rear windows, Harman Kardon etc, Electric/heated seats pack, Carbon steering wheel, smokers pack

Very pleased to say I collected mine today - absolutely awesome, looks better 'in the flesh', more imposing and have already received several thumbs up from other Alfa owners.

So far not much to say on the drive as it's early days but incredibly smooth on the motorway and quick, really quick, lovely sound as well. Very responsive steering and beautifully weighted - got to say stunning inside as well.

So far compared to the BMW (z4 coupe), Audi's (RS3 / RS4) and a Porsche Cayman S, this ride beats the lot of them.

Very, very satisfied and great service from Bedford Motovorgue.

And a bit of news - up to 100 coming to the UK this year, 12 registered at present, 5 demo's written off - Race mode.
100, wow that's a lot. Hopefully they sell the standard in proportionate numbers

Looking at the List, a good number indicated a March delivery like me. I've been chasing to see when mine's due - it should have been built on the 20th Jan, but doesn't seem to have and now the dealer and Alfa UK can't tell me at what stage it's at, so not sure if I'll get it for the 4th as planned. Anyone else getting silence on how their's is doing and on the opposite, anyone being kept up to date on their's.

I'm getting P'd off with them now

I think FCA generally import into the UK by ship via Portbury. There is a status list posted earlier in this thread (page 1, post 13) which lists FCA codes for various build and delivery states.

I spoke to my dealer again today and I'm still listed on the dealer system as status 20 (built ). Even he thinks his system might not be bang up to date and the car may be in transit. Just got to wait and see I suppose.
It's pretty pants the level of information available. You'd think with the use of IT, they'd know exactly where anything is at any given point in time.

Agreed, it's not too clever but it sort of fits with the way information generally seems to dribble across from Italy to ARUK. I suspect the first clue for us will be when Portbury contacts dealerships.
I might hear something positive today as Naz emailed the dealer yesterday but it was his day off, so it hasn't been followed up yet. Fingers crossed

Apparently the QVs are coming by lorry but all other Guillia models by boat.
I'm struggling to get my head around this. They can get what, 6 per trailer and then there's the long drive from Italy to here. OK they might get here quicker but logistically and cost wise it doesn't make a lot of sense. Unless Alfa don't trust the handling of cars by boat, too many get damaged etc.

Well, what do you know. Mine hasn't been built yet and I'm pretty disgusted. Being told it will be next week now so looking like mid-March delivery. Apparently its because of the snow they've had in Italy that's affected the supply chain. Bearing in mind it was planned for the 20th Jan from the moment I ordered it back in October that doesn't wash. I hope the rest of you are having a better experience

I was told about 2 weeks ago that mine has been built, but update last Friday still shows it as awaiting transport. The dealer informed me that it would be coming by road, like the 4C's, due to the ground clearance on the QV's.
That makes sense. I'm planning a trip to the Isle of Wight by ferry and was remembering the last time I went over. The ramp angle causes real problems getting on and off, so I can understand them not shipping them. Does give me cause to re-think IoW though now
