QV on lorries to speed up delivery. The delay on getting the cars to the UK in the first place has been the reason for this. .....

However,

My QV went to I status 35 on the 1st Feb and arrives at Portbury tomorrow. Was supposed to be the 6th. With a 6 to 11 day transit time I'm unsure exactly how they really do get to Portbury. By road from Italy must only be a couple of days drive. Unless they do oodles of paperwork between borders.

Anyway, they get here and that's what matters. I just hope those still waiting don't have any more delays due to snow etc. Very Italian behaviour!

I was told about 2 weeks ago that mine has been built, but update last Friday still shows it as awaiting transport. The dealer informed me that it would be coming by road, like the 4C's, due to the ground clearance on the QV's.

That makes sense. I'm planning a trip to the Isle of Wight by ferry and was remembering the last time I went over. The ramp angle causes real problems getting on and off, so I can understand them not shipping them. Does give me cause to re-think IoW though now

Yes need to be careful of that front splitter as I'm informed by the salesman at my dealership that it's around £3,000 to replace !

Status 35 now, due end of Feb so sounds like the weekend. Think I might hire a tug and give it a helping hand to get here

Just assumed that as the Carbon Door Sills and Alfa Puddle lights are not installed yet that they were available as after market. Also my local dealership showed me a QV with the Carbon Grill and Carbon backed mirrors that was about to go out thinking I might like to order.
