Hi guys,

I was just wondering what everyone uses to treat the leather seats in their car. This is the first car I have had with leather and I don't want it cracking up and looking horrible. I know you need to apply treatment to leather once in a while to keep the leather 'moist'.

So.....what kits do you use?

Thanks in advance,

Toby.

Gliptone leather cleaner on damp sponge, wiped clean with a damp cloth and then dry towel. Left to dry out fully overnight then Gliptone liquid leather. Keeps the leather soft without making it shiny, and keeps the nice leathery smell.

Works great on anything leather in fact, and it don't half make your hands soft (if a bit leathery smelling!)

Try and do my seats about every 6 months (tan gets grubby!)

Be careful.
Your leather seats arent all leather. The outer side panels on 159Ti seats are vinyl. When I get my seat repaired with a leather replacement panel then I should know which other bits arent leather.
You need to make sure that your leather treatment is compatible with vinyl else it may cause you problems.

For emergencies (i.e. if you have kids or animals) a packet of baby wipes seems to do the trick for spills and sticky fingers. Keep a packet in the glove box.
Never noticed any issues from using them.
As above use a decent cleaner (my choice is gliptone) and conditioner about every 6 months or so to keep it subtle.
