Hi all, my 2012 mito QV drivers seat started to crack after 2 months of ownership by me (bought at 2 years and 14000 miles) then it turned into a 2 cm split! It's on the side of the base cushion and is very noticeable upon opening the door, took it to my local stealer ( Johnsons of Solihull)who immediately said wouldn't be covered on warranty, I insisted it must be and a ' claim to Alfa' was submitted. No surprises but was told 2 months later it had been turned down but could be repaired for £150!
How can this be? The Audi I traded had 98000 miles and leather had no marks at all, anyone had any similar issues or advice on so called ' Alfa claims'?

I bought my Mito Veloce second hand at 4 years old (2010 model).

When I bought the car there was a tear in drivers side leather in exactly the same place.

Looks likes this might be a theme? Apparently when I took the car to a leather specialist this particular part of the leather is fake. I had it repaired independently and replaced with real leather.

Looks like some cost cutting measure unfortunately.

Sorry to hear that both.

Is this the standard or Frau leather? Let that be a lesson to all those with leather to condition regularly!!

I have Frau leather, however don't need any lessons just dealers with integrity when it comes to warranty claims, obviously this isn't the only claim that I've had rejected. Unfortunately I have to say that Alfa dealers seem to have a lot to learn from their German colleagues!
