decent quality leather is quite fantastic, but did you realise there are different grades for men and women?

although it isn't a hard and fast rule, lamb skin is for guys, goat skin is typically for women, both can wear cow, but its typically thicker and heavier, so more suitable to jackets than jeans / skirts etc..

very shiny leather should be avoided for guys, and if you want an even softer distressed look, nubuck is excellent, as is suede.
