click on the tab that says "listen to team radio live on racedays", works a treat but can give you a fright when its 2am and they haven't said anything for half an hour or so then the speakers burst into life

often they are chatting about nothing just to keep the driver awake and alert :D

Just been watching the last couple of Hours of this race, and quite enjoyed it too. Absolutely amazing result for Audi, bringing home ALL three Cars in succession, don't think even THEY expect to get that result, was something special indeed for them seeing all nine Audi drivers up on the poduim. You have to feel a little bit sorry for Peugot though, as ALL their Cars had the same Engine failure, and so late in the race with one of them. So they ended up with a total blank, someting they would never have expected either. Overall a fine bit of 24 Hour racing, and an excellent weekend for Audi. Should help them sell a LOAD of new Cars after this type of victory, methinks !!!.......;)

yep, watched probably 50% of the race, called it quits around 1am but missed the flying lizard going out while outside for an hour or so staurady evening

peugeot did seem to have run their cars very near (over?) the limit, 3 out of 4 engine failures, and all the same symptoms

the first pug went out with suspension damage though, well the fact that the suspension had pulled away from the carbon tub to be more percise

a good race this year though, depsite what the result may look like. peugeots leading easily until getting their troubles, the last works car coming back then the engine going bang, then the last peugeot (not a works car, a hughes de chaunac/matmut car) ebing given the order to get a podium no matter what, take all the chances  only to suffer the same fate as the other 2 works cars :(

soem time soon i will go back and stay for the week ;)

Hoping to return next year (not been since 2000).

I believe the ACO have new regs lined for 2011 to curtail the lap times and to bring the diesels more in line with the petrol cars, which should certainly improve things.

I went in 2008 when Audi and Peugeot were neck and neck.

I stayed for the graveyard shift and got myself into a grandstand for a short kip and to get warm.

I went with the beermountain guys and we had a superb time. I would have loved to do it again this year but I am saving for my first place with the mrs.

Well worth it. As a petrol head just walking round the campsite was a treat. A pitch next to us had a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Nissan GTR and a Porsche Boxster lined up (personally I would have made the Boxster park behind the tents as it just looked embarrasing next to the others).

24 hr racing gives you plenty of time to do non race watching things. We took a trip into Le Mans town to watch the footy and get some decent nosh before returning to watch a few hrs of night racing.

Very interesting to watch them at night as you can easily pick out braking in the dark. The GTs braking 20 yrds before a corner where as the prototypes just dabbing the pedal right before turning in just to settle the car.

That sounds good bud.

The mrs vowed never to camp again but I'm sure I could twist her arm.....maybe offer a new handbag or something......

I travelled from B'ham to Dover, ferry from Dover to Calais and drove to Le Mans.
Had to hire a Passat last time as only had a fiesta but if I get the 156 I'm laughing.

Nice drive too. I like the french roads. A lot of speed cameras and police on the Calais - Le Mans route now!

Some companies do coach trips out to far flung parts of the circuit, which is always worth a look. Last time I went we had an ace time on the sat. night at Mulsanne corner, then down to Arnage/Indianapolis. (We were camped in the bleu nord area, some way off if i remember)

Will defo do the same next time I go.

The build up seemed very quiet this year.
Wasnt mentioned on AO and didnt see many stickered up cars on the way there which you normally do.
Although apparently attendance was up this year.

Excellent weekend apart from when it pis sed it down on friday night and someone stole our camping chairs.
Also got abuse for not doing a burnout on the road into the campsite.

Shame Mansell went out so early

We didn't go this year cos we're going to Italy for the centenary
celebrations instead. We will be there next year though

Almost certainly we shall camp at Arnage as we did last year. It's
a really nice little camp site
