So was alerted to this since im an avid fan of Deltas. Had come close to a HF Turbo a 3 years ago, until i was outbidded on Ebay.

Now, i know this is an Alfa site, but hopefully some general Italian enthusiasts out there....can you honestly ever imagine that an HF Turbo, no matter how clean could ever be valued at £20k in the next few year as this guy claims?Considering that 8v and 16v INTEGRALES have hit a ceiling. Why would a car for less in the range be worth more?

*to note* i'm not knocking the guy, i genuinely want to know, because it seems a little far fetched to me (but then again the black 164 auto at £5k, thread on here that i commented on, i thought was strange but seems that was a legit price. Although i suspect you won't be able to get it at that price now.)

We had an HPE for several years . Nice chunky member of the Tipo family. A big stressful every year at mot time after we'd had it for three years! No rhd lamps were made so they were difficult to aim using tape etc.

I'd say there was no way it would ever be worth £20k but if you'd told me 20 years ago that in 20 years people would be paying £50k+ for Escorts I'd have said you were mad.

Haha,. but that's the thing. The big boy Integrales, evo2 as an example. I can totally understand. But a HF turbo? That's hell of a improvement. But as i said, i think it's total guff. But then again i was a bit ignorant of a 164 that was up for sale at £4995 on here.

I know one thing, paying £50,000 for an escort will guarantee you a damn good time.

Oh you mean FORD Escort!! Wish I'd kept my Mk1 Mexico (and Mk1 Lotus Cortina). Ho hum.
