Tinkering around with a 156 and want to get it running to see what it sounds like, see if the engine sounds OK etc. I had to put an exhaust back on it but the rear lambda is missing, well the nut / plug is in there but that's all so it can't be connected.

My question is is it OK to start the car this way without causing any permanent harm. I imagine it will run rich but is that the only issue.

Went for it anyway and all seems good, just the engine light on. Time to order a timing belt kit and replacement lambda me thinks.
