Hoping to have the spider back on the road soon and my daughters are at the age when I hope to insure them on it too. Also my wife will want to drive it occasionally.

But the biggest objection they have to driving the car hood down (which is of course the only way to drive it) is the effect on their carefully coiffed long hair. As my hair is barely longer than a No 5 cut this is not a problem I have particularly suffered. Although it has to be said I do finish most high speed (anything over 50MPH) drives with hair appearing to be brushed forward in the style of a member of the roman senate circa AD20.

So, a question for ladies in particular. Any tips for maintaining hair in a convertible with the hood down?

Shave their heads, buy them a wig each  they can take it off to go in the car and put it back on when they get to wherever it is they are going
A wind deflector.:) and give them a No1 with the clippers and tell them Sinead O'Connor is back in fashion?
It's good to know PC is back in fashion

Wind deflector is the only way to go. With the windows up you get a slight ruffling of the hair on the very top of your head, but that's all. I'm 5' 4".

I tend to wear a baseball cap too, but that's only because the sun goes over the top of my sunglasses and blinds me!

IMO feeling the wind in your hair is one of the joys of having a convertible. If you don't like it, buy a coupe

Same as PG, baseball cap to stop the glare over the top of my sunnies and also helps a bit going through tree lined roads with that awful sun/shadow/sun/shadow effect. I'm not particularly girly tho so getting my hair messed up doesn't bother me to be honest. :D

It might be fine normally but what if its very windy, wouldnt your hair get in your face and obscure your vision if its really long!
My hair is past shoulder length and doesn't blow about (with the wind deflector and the windows up). I do quite often have a pony tail though.
