Hi, can anyone give me some ideas on what might be causing this?
My 156 won't rev above 3200 so is currently driving like a granny. There are no warning lights showing and nothing has shown up on a fault scan. Have changed the air flow sensor, no difference and the mechanic suggested it might be a partially blocked injector so to run it with injector cleaner. Any ideas?
thanks

update

ok, have read other threads and removed connector from the air flow sensor and taken it for a drive, re-connected and it now revs but seems to be giving off lots of black smoke - is that the injector cleaner??? Also, have an engine management light on now, is that because we disconnected the sensor and is it safe to run?
thanks

Won't rev over 3,200rpm:

Is that when you are driving, regardless of the gear you're in? How about when stationary and in neutral?

it was in neutral and all gears, since disconnecting and reconnecting the MAF it seems to be better but now have the engine management light on so taking it to get the error code/s read. Does anyone have the part number for the BOSCH MAF?

thanks
