Hi All,

I am thinking of putting KONI shocks and springs on my GTV ........... I'd like some advice please..........

I can buy a set on the bay for £ 529.90 less a 10% voucher I have brings it to Just over £476.00

Questions.............

Are Koni any good ......??

These are going to lower it a bit........... Good /bad idea ????

Am I going to achie anything with these ???? ............... What I'm really after is a little less of a crashy ride........... I'm told that gas shocks will help some.......

Will these fit on the standard springs ???? ......... If I decide not to lower it ???

Any advice here is most welcome...............

Cheers to All

If you are just after a more comfy ride with better handling, a set of bilstein B6 dampers on the standard springs would work nicely.

They aint cheap though, you will be looking at around £600 for a set.

Using the standard springs on different dampers will keep the car the same ride height as the the springs control that.

On those Koni's I am not sure they would work with the standard springs, as the spring mountings may be different.

I have Bilstein B6 dampers fitted to my coupe with lowering springs. Handling is much better, but ride is still ok.
