check that the drop links are really tight !!any slight play they knock like crazy

I have recently changed drivers side upper and lower wishbones all went fine, but now I have a strange knocking sound from the front drivers side, its a metallic sound which was not there prior to changing the wishbones.
Anyone have any ideas what I have done incorrect, or what i should look at.
