help got mot in a few days and i got a knocking noise on n/s front suspension anyone got any ideas

Wishbones usually squeak first and need to be really really worn to knock. Knocking is usually ARB droplink.

Top wishbones can knock too.

Bottom ball joint can also knock.

However my GTV passed its MOT with a knocking lower joint...
It depends whether the play is noticeable to the MOT man.

a knocking on uneven surfaces was drop links for me, oddly it became more noticeable with the snow

I got a local place to fit them for £40

In order of probability: Top wishbone/balljoint, Drop link, Anti roll bar inner bush, Bottom wishbone/balljoint.
