I have the clunking sound comming from underneath on full lock and when selecting reverse occasionally, i'm guessing it's the cv joint ........repairs mounting up how urgent is this as a fix?
any advice appreciated

I've got the ticking noise but no knocking, im told that if it ticks on corners only then don't fret, if it ticks while driving straight ahead then its time to change. But! as Sy states, a knocking is most likely suspension?

Just jack it up and pull your wheel off mate, give everything a good shake and it should become apparent exactly what the problem is. If it is the CV joint you could pull the gaiter off and pack it with grease but you dont want to be doing big miles on it.

The wishbone bushes tend to clunk when they are on their way out. yopu can buy the bushes themselves for not a lot of money and no real dramas to change yourself.
