Good Afternoon All,

I took delivery this morning of my new Alfa Giulietta 170 JTDM with a few tasty extras. Couple of camera phone piccies for you. I recently wrote an end of term review on the 159 giving my thoughts on that car so I’m looking forward to giving my feedback on this one. Initial thoughts are good in that it feels well put together and sits nicely on the road. Power seems comparable to my modded 159 so I imagine a tweaked Giulietta should go very well indeed.

Thanks for the comments. Really pleased with it.

The wheels are not the QV wheels but the 18" turbines powdercoated and with a gloss finish. They're a bit darker than the QV wheel and don't have the silver strips on 5 of the spokes. I think they make the car look a bit meaner.

Thanks for the kind words.

Initial thoughts - really pleased and feels great although I'm only 250 miles in. My 159 went back on Monday and I had a last drive and it felt quite pondorous in comparison. The 159 was tweaked so putting out about 190BHP or so and the Giulietta feels at least as sprightly even in standard tune. I will be tweaking the car after a couple of months so I expect it will be pretty tasty afterward. The only thing that niggles is the stop start system but I'm sure thats just a case of getting used to it and it can easily be switch off.

Spec is Veloce 170 with white paint, double sunroof, 18" turbine wheels powdercoated and gloss finished. Tom Tom port with the latest unit (excellent by the way), bigger brakes, tinted windows and reverse parking sensors. Think thats it. The only thing I would have liked is the red leather interior but I just couldn't see the value in it when it already has half leather.
